New Audiobook Additions: Frankenstein and Phil Chenevert Joins the Spotlight
We have some exciting new additions to the Audio Books Roku channel! Our latest update, added on Monday, September 14, brings even more classic literature and science fiction to the channel, including several recordings of one of the most famous novels ever written.
Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley
This week, we've added five different audiobook versions of Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. Having multiple recordings of this classic gives listeners the opportunity to experience the story through different narrators and interpretations.
We've also added both of Shelley's published editions:
The 1818 Edition of Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus — The original edition of Shelley's groundbreaking novel, first published anonymously in 1818.
The 1831 Edition of Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus — Shelley's substantially revised edition, published in 1831, which contains changes to the story, characters, and language.
Whether you've listened to Frankenstein many times or are discovering it for the first time, these different versions offer an interesting opportunity to compare the novel and hear how different narrators bring Shelley's unforgettable story to life.
Welcome, Phil Chenevert!
We're also very happy to introduce Phil Chenevert as a new narrator in our Beloved Narrator Spotlight!
