New Audiobooks Added To Our Spotlight Section On Monday, September 21st
We’ve added several more classic audiobooks to our "Spotlight" section on our "Audio Books" Roku channel, giving listeners some intriguing new mysteries, timeless literature, and a classic work of inspiration to discover.
This week’s "Spotlight" additions include three audiobooks in "Phil Chenevert" section, along with new selections for our "Jane Austen" section.
New Additions to "Phil Chenevert" Section:
• "Acres of Diamonds" (Version 2) by Russell Conwell - Looking for a little inspiration? Acres of Diamonds is Russell Conwell’s famous motivational lecture built around the idea that opportunities may be much closer than we realize. Through stories and examples, Conwell encourages listeners to recognize the possibilities that can be found right where they are rather than always searching somewhere else.
• "The Adventure of the Copper Beeches" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle - Sherlock Holmes takes on another unusual case when a young governess comes to him with concerns about a strange job offer and even stranger conditions. What appears to be an excellent position soon raises troubling questions about what is really happening inside the mysterious Copper Beeches house.
• "The Adventure of the Speckled Band" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle - One of Sherlock Holmes’s most memorable mysteries, The Adventure of the Speckled Band begins when a frightened young woman seeks Holmes’s help after a series of disturbing events. Holmes and Dr. Watson must unravel a dangerous mystery before it is too late.
New Additions to the "Jane Austen" Section:
• "Jane Austen’s Juvenilia" by Jane Austen - This brings together a fascinating collection of her early works, including "Love and Freindship", "Lesley Castle", "Lady Susan", "The History of England", and several shorter pieces. It offers listeners a chance to hear some of Austen’s earliest writing and see the humor and creativity that would become hallmarks of her later work.
• "Lady Susan" by Jane Austen (two reader versions) - Written in 1795, Lady Susan follows its clever and manipulative title character as she attempts to arrange advantageous marriages while navigating a complicated web of letters, relationships, and schemes. Having two versions makes it possible to experience the same Austen story through different performances.
Whether you’re in the mood for a Sherlock Holmes mystery, an inspirational classic, or more of Jane Austen’s early writing, there’s something new to discover on our "Audio Books" Roku channel this week.
Happy listening! 📣📚
